Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay: Competitive pay based on experience. Proven aluminum welders start at a higher rate.

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Driveshaft Technician is the backbone of our production floor. This is a cross-trained role built for someone who wants to learn every part of how a driveshaft comes together, from raw material to a balanced, finished, shipped product. You will rotate through stations, work alongside experienced builders, and grow into a craftsman who can step in anywhere the shop needs you. We train the right person from the ground up. You do not need to be a master welder to succeed here. Our equipment and processes do a lot of the heavy lifting, so what matters most is a willingness to learn and the discipline to follow the process. What we cannot teach is work ethic, attention to detail, and the drive to do it right the first time. If you bring those, we will build the skills with you.

This job is built for self-starters. After training, you are trusted to stay productive and finish your work with minimal oversight. We do not micromanage or chase people to stay busy, because we hire people who do not need it. If you take pride in staying in motion and earning your spot, you will thrive here. If you are looking to coast, this is not the shop for you, and that is okay.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Learn and rotate through all production stations, including driveshaft assembly, balancing, welding, machining, finishing, and shipping.
Build and assemble aluminum, steel, and carbon fiber driveshafts to precise specifications and quality standards.
Operate shop equipment safely, including presses, balancers, welders, and cutting and machining tools, following all procedures and PPE requirements.
Perform accurate measurements and quality checks at every stage to ensure each shaft meets spec before it ships.
Support order fulfillment by preparing, packaging, and shipping finished product correctly and on time.
Keep the workstation and shop clean, organized, and safe throughout the day.
Follow the daily workflow and priorities set at the morning sync, and complete assigned tasks on the board.
Assist with customer orders and provide clear, accurate information when needed.
Take direction well, ask questions, and apply training consistently and correctly.

As your skills grow: reliable and safe in your first 30 days, supporting multiple stations with supervision by 90 days, and productive across key production areas with fewer corrections by 6 months.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Required Experience

Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in learning the trade.
Reliable and punctual. You show up every day, on time, ready to work. Reliability is the single most important thing we look for.
Able to follow detailed instructions and apply them consistently.
Comfortable working with your hands, with tools, and on your feet in a shop environment.
This is a physically active shop role. You must be able to stand and move throughout the day and safely lift and move components up to 50 lbs as part of normal production work, sometimes repeatedly.
A genuinely good attitude. You bring positive energy, respect process and leadership, and make the shop a better place to work.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in a driveshaft, machine, fabrication, or automotive shop.
Aluminum welding experience is highly valued and compensated accordingly. This is the single skill we most want to add to the team, and a proven aluminum welder will start at a higher pay rate.
Candidates who want to be considered at the welder level and for aluminum welding cross-training duties will be asked to perform sample aluminum weld passes prior to hire.
Familiarity with high-performance or racing applications.
Basic computer skills for orders, measurements, and documentation.
